Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during Kharif, 2013–14 at Main Agricultural Research Station to study the performance of sequential application of insecticides with different mode of action against sucking pests in Bt cotton. The results indicated that among different spray sequences, the sequential application of acetamiprid 20 SP - chlorfenapyr 10 SC - fipronil 5 EC - bifenthrin 10 EC- diafenthiuron 50 WP recorded significantly less number of sucking pests which ultimately reflected in recording highest seed cotton yield of 25.92 q/ha with highest B:C ratio of 3.37 which was followed by spray sequences of bifenthrin 10 EC - diafenthiuron 50 WP - acetamiprid 20 SP - chlorfenapyr 10 SC - fipronil 5 EC and fipronil 5 EC- bifenthrin 10 EC - diafenthiuron 50 WP- acetamiprid 20 SP - chlorfenapyr 10 SC in reducing thrips population with higheryield of 24.21 and 22.98 q/ha and B:C ratio of 3.15 and 3.12, respectively. The lowest B: C ratio of 2.58 was recorded in chlorfenapyr 10 SC - fipronil 5 EC bifenthrin 10EC- Nimbecidine - diafenthiuron 50WP.
