Abstract

The Arjuna complex fields operated by ARCO in partnership with Pertamina in Indonesia's Java Sea are still growing. Four areas are producing, and two others are being developed. The area is also slated to get some unusual production and processing equipment, including a first-of-a-kind completely offshore natural gas processing plant, and a unique floating concrete LP-gas storage barge. The gas-liquids-extraction plant is expected to be in operation early next year. The 36,000-ton offshore storage unit, being built by Concrete Technology Corp. in Tacoma, Wash., is scheduled to be completed this fall. The concrete barge will store a total of 375,000 bbl of LP-gas at a temperature of -50/sup 0/F.
