Abstract
Rainbow trout production in different conditions needs spesific requirements in our coutry. In this study comperative cost analysis of trout cage farms was carried out in Karacaören Dam Lake located in Antalya-Burdur border and land based farms on Eşen Stream in Fethiye-Ören. The analysis indicated that the highest operational cost in land based farms consist of feed with 57.13%. The remaining part was shared by egg- juvenile cost and labour cost with 13.79 and 5.77% respectively. In the cage farms the cost order was 63.53% feed, 17.30% juvenile and 2.36% labour
