Abstract
Japanese bridge engineers have realized the structural and economic advantages offered by the use of corrugated steel webs in bridge deck design, and that led to their embracing the technique and continuing to build new bridges that are pushing the technology to its limits. This article describes the design and construction of Yahagigawa Bridge in the city of Toyota that will be the world's first cable stayed bridge that has a composite concrete and steel box girder deck using corrugated steel webs.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
