The purpose of this article is to examine the impact of the 1980 Motor Carrier Act on transportation lawyers. Specifically, they were asked two questions: (1) How has trucking deregulation impacted your career? and (2) What will be the most important legal issue facing the trucking common carrier industry as we approach the 21st century?
