THE PURPOSE OF THE WORK IS TO DEVELOP A PROCEDURE WHICH WILL ILLUSTRATE THE OPTIMUM CONSTRUCTION PROCESS FOR EARTHWORKS TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INFLUENCE OF HUMAN, MACHINE, MATERIAL AND METEOROLOGICAL FACTORS. BEFORE THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE BUILD-UP OF HIS ANALYTICAL MODEL, HE STATES THAT IN EARTHWORKS MUCH DEPENDS UPON ACHIEVING THE MOST EXACT INPUT DATA. THE PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO 3 PARTS; THE APPLICABLE MATRIX IS APPENDED. IN AN EXAMPLE THE OPERATING CAPACITY OF THE MODEL IS EXPLAINED. THE AUTHOR ARRIVES AT THE CONCLUSION THAT WHEN CONSIDERING ALL PRODUCTION PLANNING PROBLEMS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IT IS ALWAYS ADVANTAGEOUS AND SERVES TO REDUCE COSTS IF PROCESSES ARE COMPARED USING COMPUTER MODELS OF THE TYPE DESCRIBED AIMED AT OPTIMISING THE PROCEDURES.
