Abstract
This annual passenger rail review provides facts and figures on 34 rail transit agencies. It begins with a section on transit trends, including charts and tables showing a variety of statistics, such as rail expenses by mode, 10 largest transit agencies ranked by unlinked passenger trip, rail route mileage and status of future projects, rail routes under construction, and average weekday unlinked passenger trips by mode. This is followed by a directory arranged alphabetically by state, and includes one entry for Canada. For each agency listed, information is given regarding when service began, route miles, rolling stock, annual ridership, annual operating and capital costs, and number of stations. An overview of current activities is also included.
