A workshop, road research and information for south east Asia, Melbourne, September 1980, consensus conclusions

After the first day of discussion at the workshop on road research and information for south east asia, delegates informally considered what could be the outcome of the workshop and what action, if any, should follow. On the second day an ad hoc committee prepared a draft set of conclusions which were debated and then adopted. Conclusions included proposals for improved regional and international cooperation and coordination, the desirability of holding a second meeting in approximately two years which could develop more formal regional programmes, and expression of support for the road extension programme of the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia.
