Abstract

To investigate lelationship between activity of MMP-2(72KD),MMP-9(92KD) and invasion, metastasis of human hepatocellular carcinomar(HCC).Methods Useing Zymography and computer software assisted analysis,we have measureed the activitive levels of MMP-2(72KD),MMP-9(92KD)in tissues from HCC.Results Mean activitive levels of 72KD(28 89±7 82)in HCC were higher than those in benign disease, P 0 05.There was difference( P 0 05). in 62KD+72KD of the tumorous tissues and the non-tumorous tissues.62KD(26 57±9 30)was markly higher in HCC ( P 0 01).We also fund 62KD/62KD+72KD were apparently higher in HCC(0 47) and metastases (0 41), P 0 01 ,respectively.Meanwhile, levels of 92KD were higher in HCC tiessues (27 95±11 93)than in nontumorous tissues(7 46±2 53), P 0 01.levels of 92KD were higher in metastases than in non-matastasis carcinomas, P 0 01,Conclusion These results demonstrate that levels of MMP-2,MMP-9 can be candicates for novel markeres for HCC.The levels appear to reflect their potential and angoing activity of invasion and metastasis of HCC.
