Abstract
This paper looks at some of the design considerations pertinent to cable-stayed bridges. Wherever possible, current design aspect ratios are presented, based on existing structures, that could be useful in a first trial design. Because the cable-stayed bridge is subject to a wide array of parameters, design and analysis considerations are given in a general manner.
