Abstract

This report documents the factors that may influence car ownership and the usage of cars in the light of previous forecasts for passenger car traffic in Sweden. Using a simplified forecasting model, a forecast for passenger car traffic in the year 2000 is presented, based on population increase, car ownership and annual mileage, and the way in which the latter two factors may be expected to be influenced by other conditions during the 90s.For the main report see IRRD 869577.
