Principal Problems and the Theoretical System of Tourism Philosophy: Discussion with Zhang Bin

philosophy is an emerging subject within applied philosophy,but there are still many questions to be asked about the basic problems and construction of such a theoretical system.Zhang Bin presented some new and enlightening ideas in his paper What Kind of Philosophy Do We Need? He says,Taking tourism as logical starting point,persisting in premised tracing,rethinking and neatening upon it,it could build the philosophy with ontology,epistemology and axiology as main points.This kind of tourism philosophy system which is on philosophical logic is what we need.However,certain views in his paper need further analysis.To clarify some basic problems and construct a reasonable theoretical system about the study of tourism philosophy,this paper investigates research ideas,trends and meta-concepts using a logical speculative method.We also discuss points that Zhang Bin raises.For instance,the author philosophically analyses the word pleasure.In his view,it cannot be a narrow and one-sided interpretation or a hasty generalization.Take the particularity of contradiction to negate the universality of contradiction when considering the definition of pleasure in tourism by Xie Yanjun,another researcher in the field of tourism.The author said that we should uphold the principle of materialistic dialectics,which correctly manages the relationship of the particularity and universality of contradiction.We also discussed the logical way that the tourism is based on the framework of leisure.For us,one of the most basic properties of tourism is leisure,and if the framework of leisure were divorced from this,tourism study would be easily led astray from concept generalization and alienation.The of tourism described in this research is: Tourism is all kinds of freedom of body and mind that human arrive any place except daily life and work environment in spare time with recreation,aesthetics,curiosity as main aims.We also said that the essence of tourism is with freedom of body and mind in unfamiliar places.This sort of experience is specific to tourism.The origin and of tourism science and construction of a tourism philosophy is the essence that should run through this type of research.The construction and research of the tourism subject should be around the common core or base of tourism from the perspective of leisure,then expanded to fuse with related disciplines.Using the notion that Tourism has value just for subject in demand,using 'requirement' to define value,we felt that it makes little sense to uphold the value of tourism solely from the viewpoint of humans and without considering its wider function and effect.Tourism value should be the effect that tourism objects have on tourism as a subject.The orientation of tourism value must therefore meet the harmonious development of tourism for individual humans,society,the economy and the environment.This will provide the freedom to pursue the development of the individual,the ecological system and even the progress of society.Tourism philosophy therefore has the effect that the tourism object improves both the tourism subject and the social environment. Finally,this thesis found that tourism philosophy research must have the following features: with the guidance of philosophical theory and a scientific outlook on its development,it shows the need to integrate theory with practice;it takes the tourism as a logical starting point,the essence of tourism as its core,and practical tourism problems as research content;it combines tourism science with philosophy,ethics and aesthetics;through the philosophical fields of ontology,axiology and the theory of practice,it systematically researches the fundamental questions of the tourism in essence,function and effect,ethics and alienation;it understands the spiritual world of tourists;it recognizes the ongoing development and progress of tourism and its effect on society;it encourages the tourism development view;it develops a tourism research methodology;and it constructs a tourism discipline system.
