Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effects ofα-linolenic acid andγ-linolenic acid on the blood-lipid levels of the people with hyperlipidemia.Methods:106 subjects who the serum total cholesterol(TC)level≥5.2mmol/L and triglyceride(TG)level≥ 1.65mmol/L were randomly divided into 2 groups, the experimental group was given 3 soft capsules containingα-linolenic acid and γ-linolenic acid at levels of 400mg/d and 120mg/d,respectively.Control group was provided 3 similar soft capsules within placebo. To observe the changes of TC,TG,HDL-C in the plasma and general condition before and after the experiment. The total process need 45 days.Result:As compared with the control group, the serum levels of TG,TC,decreased obviously, and HDL-C increase significantly in the experiment group. As compared with itself,in the experiment group the TG and TC levels in the blood decreased obviously, and HDL-C levels increased significantly at the end of the study. On the contrary, there were no significant difference on the levels of TC TG HDL-C in the control group. The effective power and total effective rate of TC TG and HDL-C in experiment group were more significant than in the control group. There was no abnormal on the mind, sleep, diet, and clinical indicators(e.g.urination,blood pressure) of the volunteers during the total process, moreover, there was no adverse reaction.Conclusion:α-linolenic acid andγ-linolenic acid were able to auxiliary decrease the levels of blood lipids and no adverse effect on the body's health.
