Abstract
This paper discusses the selection assessment of expressway toll collection systems by looking at the following aspects: (1) the operating modes of toll collection systems; (2) performance indices of toll collection systems, including the average passing rate of toll lanes, average delay time, toll collection rate and administration efficiency; (3) economical indices related to toll collection systems; and (4) assessment methods for toll collection systems. The study in this paper can conduct the selection and design of toll collection systems.
