Abstract
One area of SHRP Highway Operations is devoted to research on snow and ice control, the principal objective of which is to develop methods, equipment, and materials that will reduce current dependence on corrosive and environmentally undesirable deicing chemicals. Seven contracts and two SHRP-IDEA grants have been awarded to investigate contact and non-contact mechanical ice removal, ice-pavement bonding, improved displacement plow designs, deicing chemical evaluation, and winter storm management.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
