The electrochemical reduction of acrylonitrile has been studied on a glassy carbon \nelectrode in tetraethylammonium bromide electrolyte at pH 8.0 using voltammetry, cyclic \nvoltammetry and controlled potential electrolysis techniques. The Tafel slope analysis \nhas indicated that the reduction mechanism changes with concentration of acryionitrile. Cyclic voltammetric measurements have revealed that the reduction of acrylonitrile occurs by strong adsorption along with the tetraalkylammonium cations. The reduction \nmechanism has been discussed
