Abstract

Managed by the Transportation Research Board and sponsored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) has been involved from the beginning the AASHTO TRAC (Transportation and Civil Engineering) Program. The program was designed to interest students, especially minorities and women, in the transportation profession and civil engineering. NCHRP research projects have helped assess the problem, have produced the initial content of the program, have provided evaluations and guidance, and most recently have updated the modules and activities. A list of these projects is provided in this article.
