Abstract
Salient features are described of the heaviest jacket structure ever to be launched from a barge, which is now being fabricated at Ardersier, Scotland. Launch weight will be 25,000 tons. To establish the platform configuration, a conceptual engineering design was carried out first. The complete design of the structure and the module support frame then followed. A special barge (semisubmersible) has been built to handle the job. The jacket will be placed in 1981 in the UK North Sea Block 211/19 for the Conoco group's Murchison field platform.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
