Abstract
To introduce ETC system into expressways, behaviors of vehicles passing at a toll plaza are important factors to evaluate the configurations of ETC system equipment at a toll plaza. Free flow data which is very similar to that of non-stop electronic toll collection have been available at Maya toll plaza on Hanshin Expressway Kobe line (route 3) since the section was temporarily offered for free on the process of restoration after Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The purpose of this paper is to report the results of the data analysis, and based on it, studies to introduce ETC system into Hanshin Expressway are reported. For the covering abstract, see IRRD 490001.
