Abstract

The present study is the second of two surveys. The primary aim has been to obtain a broad picture of how different categories of passengers percieve public transport and public transport information. How are new ways of informing passengers received by existing as well as potential passengers? Comparing the results with the results from the earlier study an analysis is made of what the long term effects may be following the introduction of new IT-based information services. More specific, the purpose has been to investigate passengers' attitude towards and their assessment of two types of information: 1) Real time information presented on displays at bus or tram stops; and 2) information services on the Internet.
