Abstract

This paper deals mainly with pavement construction work carried out in the shire of tomki (centred at Casino on the Richmond River, northern NSW) between 1962 and 1970, but reference is also made to similar work carried out by other authorities in the other parts of the Northern Rivers area. In this period, in the shire of Tomki, a total length of 58.2 miles of stabilized road pavement has been constructed, of which 7.5 miles has been constructed using hydrated lime and 47.2 miles using cement.
