Abstract
Considerable attention has been paid in the past two decades to item nonresponse in travel surveys; item nonresponse is defined as the failure to obtain information on all items in a survey, due either to the information not being provided by the respondent or because the information provided is false. The aim of this chapter has been to attempt to: define item nonresponse; identify its impact on survey quality; review methods to treat it; suggest standards that would facilitate dealing with it; and recommend research that would benefit item nonresponse in the future.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
