Abstract

As the use of fiber reinforced strengthening of concrete bridges becomes increasingly accepted worldwide, the range of applications for which it is being considered is continually expanding. The article emphasizes that a clear understanding of the mechanical behavior of fiber reinforced polymer strengthening of concrete structers is key to its effective design.
