Survey on Research and Application of Strengthening Techniques in Reinforced and Pre-stressed Concrete Structures

Abstract

In recent years,the field of concrete structure strengthening has become a hot point in China. As a result, the related strengthening techniques of concrete stucture have been an important research field in structure engineering. In this paper, the mechanic characteristics of strengthened concrete structure are discussed. A new strengthening technique of external bonding with FRP is introduced. Some problems in strengthening techniques of concrete stucture are also analysed. The technique of external bonding CFRP has many advantages and is promising to be applied widely in strengthening construction.
