A review of paratransit services in Melbourne

Abstract
Some experience has recently been gained in Melbourne in the operation of paratransit services. This experience is described and some comparisons between services are presented. Particular reference is made to dial a bus services, community based minibus services, transport provided by special schools and institutions and a taxi voucher experiment. Brief mention is made of car pooling, shared taxis and some administrative issues relevant to the operation of paratransit services (a).
