Abstract

This article discusses how the state of Washington will implement Venture Washington, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) program, starting in 1995 and progressing for twenty years. Four transportation corridors for ITS project installations have already been selected. Among the projects being prepared are the Bellevue Smart Traveler, Swift, Pushme and Travel Aid.
