Abstract
This article looks at various devices designed to meet stormwater regulations and needs. It describes products for collecting and channeling stormwater runoff such as curb inlets and trench drains, products that combine collection and flow control, treatment products that separate oil and water, as well as precast concrete sand filters. The article also includes before and after photos of a section of Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County where two weeks of rain in January 2005 washed out roadways and damaged mountain slopes. The solution included a drain pipe to remove stormwater from the uphill slope, as well as the installation of fiber wattles and a hydroseeded flexible growth product on the mountain slope to protect against erosion and provide seed germination.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
