Abstract
Speed limit is an important factor to enhance the overall safety and efficiency of the national highway system. The purpose of the paper is to produce a speed management program for national highway G324 in Guangdong by investigating the status of speed, thus harmonizing the benefits of many related parts and resolving social conflicts. This can not only improve traffic efficiency and capacity of G324, but also promote service levels to ensure people's safe and convenient travel. The paper discusses the distribution of spot speed, analyzes the influence factors of speed and safety, and then builds a model to bring forward the plan of post speed.
