Abstract

This article focuses on the expiration of TEA-21 and AIR-21 bills and how they are creating concerns for state agencies and contractors. Reauthorization concerns and stop-gap funding measures are discussed, including alternative financing methods by states to continue existing projects and pursue future contracts. The article also briefly discusses port security concerns. Tables listing contractors include: Top 50 in Transportation; Top 15 in Marine and Port Facilities; Top 25 in Bridges; Top 25 in Highways; Top 25 in Airports; and Top 25 in Mass Transit and Rail.
