This publication, the 17th in a series, provides statistical analysis and trends on transportation in the U.S. Data is presented on transportation and the economy, transportation outlays and Gross National Product (GNP), freight and passenger costs, intercity transportation, public transportation, petroleum consumption, and transportation employment, among other areas, applicable to ground, air, rail, and water transportation in graphical and tabular formats.
