Abstract
The Transportation Statistics Annual Report (TSAR) is a Congressionally mandated publication with wide distribution. The TSAR provides the most comprehensive overview of U.S. transportation that is done on an annual basis. TSAR examines the extent of the system, how it is used, how well it works, how it affects people and the economy, and how it relates to energy use and environmental impacts. It also outlines the state of transportation statistics and new developments in data collection and analysis. This seventh Transportation Statistics Annual Report, TSAR 2000, has been completely redesigned from previous issues with a much more issue-oriented, graphic-intensive format that allows readers to find areas of interest more easily, and to more quickly grasp the essence of an issue. More current issues have been added, including airline delays, highway and port congestions, tire safety, and gasoline prices. The entire report can be downloaded as a single PDF file (16.4MB) or individual sections can be accessed in PDF, HTML, Excel or CSV formats.
