Abstract
Progress being made in the planning for an early 1985 start of construction of the all American Pipeline Co. heated oil pipeline system is discussed. This 30-in. system will be the largest oil pipeline built in the US in many years. The main line from Emidio, CA near Bakersfield, to McCamey, in West Texas will be 1207.9 miles long. Also being planned is a new 451-mile extension from McCamey to Freeport, Texas, on the Gulf Coast. The construction timetable and the estimated investment and operating costs for the pipe-line are given.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
