Abstract

A problem for the airport user that becomes more evident as air-travel times diminish is that of airport access and circulation. That portion of the problem which is of great interest to the airport planner is the transition of passengers from a service vehicle to the aircraft. The principal functions to be performed by the passengers during this transition are reviewed, and a new airport terminal concept that satisfactorily solves this problem is presented.
