PROCEEDINGS OF THE NEW MEXICO INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING CONFERENCE

This document records the events of the New Mexico Intermodal Transportation Planning Conference held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 15-16, 1993. The aim of the conference was to convene individuals representing the broadest possible range of transportation interests and facilitate communication among them. The report includes an executive summary that presents an overview of the major conference objectives, results, and findings. Section Two, the introduction, establishes the motivating factors for the conference. Section Three details the methodology of convening the conference. Section Four presents the findings of the conference. Section Five presents the conference follow-up. Of special note, New Mexico was one of six areas chosen by the United States Department of Transportation to develop a model intermodal transportation planning process in response to the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act.
