The focus of rural transit has always been on its riders, rather than on equipment and infrastructure. Providing service to people and adequately funding rural transit makes a prudent investment in a community's future. This article contains stories of residents who ride rural transit across the country. The stories show how rural transit connects the riders' communities and impacts their lives.
