Abstract

In April 1979, the DB will take delivery of five prototype locomotives in the E 120 series. The Bo' Bo' Locomotive (5.6kW, 160 Km/h), equipped with asynchronous three-phase current traction motors, will be supplied with 15 kV, 16 2/3 Hz single-phase current from the overhead contact line.
