Abstract
In this paper, the authors examine issues regarding integration and deployment in a number of advanced traveler information systems (ATIS) deployment initiatives in the New York City metropolitan area. The initiatives, sponsored by different levels of government, include: the I-95 Corridor Coalition Information Exchange Network, the TRANSCOM program, the Metropolitan Model Deployment Initiative (MMDI), the Regional ITS Early Deployment Plan, the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)/Traffic Management Center (TMC), and the Strategic Local ITS Plan for New York City.
