Abstract
A collection of 20 case studies covering the various levels and concerns of distance instruction and education. The text examines such subjects as the objectives, practices, achievements and failures of higher education. The education of teachers in developing countries, distance education for children as well as for adults and the intrinsic flexibility of distance and open education are analyzed. The aim of this book is to provide the distance educator and student of distance education with a variety of information on the innovations and practices working within distance education institutions all over the world.
