Abstract
A research project, designed to test the feasibility of using a flight simulator to predict success in flying training is described. The results of the research are discussed in terms of the manpower changes which would result from including an additional test into the current selection process. The cost implications have been analyzed with the aid of two, purpose-built, computer models which give the capability of maximizing cost savings and testing the sensitivity of input assumptions.
