Abstract

In recent years extensive trials concerning the extension of period and the reduction of volume of work have been carried out for the preventive maintenance of electric tractive units. These trials had the aim to reduce considerably maintenance demands and, at the same time, to increase the availability of vehicles. In order to have object-related maintenance measures, the planning of the sequence of operations and detailed work instructions are separately prepared for each vehicle type.
