Abstract

The durability of concrete structures depends on the environmental actions, and the resistance of the concrete against these actions. In recent years deterioration of reinforced concrete structures, has become a serious problem in many countries. A technical investigation is a prerequisite to rational repair -causes and consequences of the deterioration must be identified. Experienced engineers will diagnose the cause and extent of the problem. The paper will focus on different techniques and materials which are used in the effective repair of cracked concrete structures. Special emphasis is made on repairing structures surrounded by water.(a) for the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 813594.
