Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the presentation of a constitutive model well adapted for the description of the behaviour of cohesionless soil in complex loadings. Its main original features are: a kinematic relationship, based on the notion of characteristic surface allowing a good description of volume change. A non linear kinematic yielding mechanism allowing the induced anisotropy to be taken into account. Some predictions for homogeneous loadings will be presented and commented on.(a) for the covering abstract of this conference see IRRD 824029.
