Abstract

With an eye to being chosen as another national prototype automated highway, Houston officials have lent two buses and several staff to Demo ' 97, the test of an automated highway in August 1997, north of San Diego. The Metropolitan Transit Authority in Houston, Texas, would like to see a bus application of an automated highway in Houston. The article continues with brief descriptions of several types of advanced vehicle control systems
