Abstract

The article presents a review of trends in parking, primarily in urban areas. After discussing such things as preferences for suburban shopping centers versus central business districts, parking needs, methods of parking, and parking policy and regulations, the article continues with a discussion of parking area design. Discussions of methods of implementing parking, financing municipal parking facilities, and parking innovations follow.
