Abstract

This document focuses on parking in the United Kingdom. Parking supply, parking charges, how local authorities deal with parking, and effects on car ownership are explored. Data includes: residential parking by type versus destination parking; parking demand; and revenue expenditure versus parking income. The results of a 2009 survey by the Department for Transport on public attitudes is also included.
