Abstract
The blood pressure of rats was measured at 1 and 8 hours after a whole- body irradiation and also at 50 consecutive days. The doses given were 1000, 800, 700, 600, and 400 r at 250 kvp. All groups showed a rapid drop of blood pressure within 1 hour following irradiation. In the 600 r irradiated group, the blood pressure dropped again 2 or 4 days after irradiation which was considered to be caused by a different factor from that of the initial drop. (Abstr.
