Abstract

Several major motorcycle manufacturers have recently celebrated 100 years of building motorcycles. Over these years, the quality of their machines has improved greatly but has motorcycle safety improved to the same extent? This question will be examined using the four core areas of the RTA�s road safety strategy �Road Safety 2010�: Safer Vehicles, Safer People, Safer Roads and Community Based Action.
