Electric utilities operate in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market. To succeed in this market, they are focusing more effort and resources on better understanding and meeting customers' needs. The foundation for their efforts is customer-focused planning (CFP). This report describes a conceptual framework for CFP and presents guidelines for developing customer-focused strategies.
