Abstract

This conference presentation offers the perspective of the U.S. National Park Service (NPS) on the topic of alternate fuels and transport systems in the NPS system. Comments are offered on: models for transportation systems; models for transportation solutions; congestion on NPS roads; funding for transportation improvements in the Parks; and on the importance of building partnerships between the NPS, gateway communities, and other federal agencies.
