Abstract

Energy consumption is one of the possible elements to be influenced by transport policies, among others like traffic safety, and economic growth. Transport policies therefore are not likely to be one sided. In most cases only packages of measures are politically feasible. Reduced car-mobility by means of extreme parking-measures has to be accompanied by more and better public transport. Certain measures are complementary to each other, others exclude each other. Thus a more or less complete overview of the possible packages can be presented, as a basis for analyses. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of packages of measures that are thought to be valuable in everyday political reality, when policy measures are to be taken in order to restrain car-mobility.
